New Trout Record: Washington State 24.49-Pound Tiger Trout

Wednesday, July 28, 2021

In 2015, the biggest Tiger Trout caught on record was from nearby Bonaparte Lake. Bonaparte Lake is one of 4 lakes near our hunting cabin in Okanogan County. On June 26th, 2021, that record of 18.49 pound was shattered when Caylun Peterson caught a 24.49-pound Tiger Trout from Loon Lake in Stevens County.

New State Record

The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks Loon Lake with jumbo Rainbow Trout and Tiger Trout. Beaver Lake in Okanogan County is also stocked with trout. Beaver Lake is located near the town of Chesaw in Oroville, WA and is a few minutes drive from our guest cabin. We have caught some tasty fish and almost always catch our limit in 2 hours.

If you're planning a trip and need a fishing guide, use our Contact Form. We would be glad to help you fish in Beaver or Bonaparte Lake.
