At no additional cost
to hunters from Washington State, Department
of Fish and Wildlife is holding a
random drawing to apply for a chance to hunt on a unit of the Scotch Creek Wildlife Area in northeastern
Okanogan County. The area has 700 acres available for the special hunt.

Drawing is scheduled on August 15th wherein permits
reserved for six each bow hunters, muzzleloaders and six hunters using modern
firearms. The drawing is open to the general public and applications must be
received by midnight on August 14th.
Names of the lucky hunters will be posted online during
the last week of August. The hunt area is composed of recently purchased
Washington State Department of Wildlife as well as private lands.
