Tiger Trout at Okanogan Highlands Outfitters
The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife announced that is reopening Methow River for steelhead and whitefish. Okanogan Highlands Outfitters is definitely gearing up for the reopening. Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife is also opening More Okanogan River to fishing for steelhead on March 17, 2013. The Similkameen River is a short driving distance away. Similkameen River has the best steelhead I’ve ever seen. They definitely have very tasty fish!

For more information, please visit the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife website. Okanogan Highlands Outfitters will be adding fishing activities and other enhancements this year. Bonaparte Lake is a 20-minute drive from our guest cabin.
Trout - Beaver Lake, Okanogan County
It boasts the best rainbow trout around.

Beth Lake is a 10-minute drive from our cabin. Although the lake is small, the scenery is gorgeous is wonderful for rainbow and cutthroat trout. Beth Lake is also great for ice fishing. If you haven’t tried ice fishing, you are missing out. It’s a fun activity for the whole family.
